Gabriel Biriș Tax Institute Founder
Gabriel Biriș is one of the founding partners of Biriș Goran, a business lawyer, recognized as one of the best taxation specialists in Romania. Gabriel has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of taxation, providing advice on compliance, tax inspection assistance and tax litigation. He is well-known for his professional activity, but also for the efforts made to modernize legislation and tax administration, in support of the business environment in Romania. Between December 2015 and September 2016, Gabriel held the position of State Secretary in the Ministry of Public Finance, being responsible for taxation.
Gabriel Biriș represented Romania at the official launch of the OECD Anti-BEPS Plan (July 2016, Kyoto) and is the only member from Romania in the Group of Experts in the field of VAT established by the European Commission - General Directorate of Taxation and Customs (TAXUD) from Brussels.
